Start at the Bolshoi in the morning. Follow Nikolskaya to Red Square and have lunch in GUM. Choose either a theatre tour or a visit to the Kremlin museums. In the evening, you can return to Theatre Square for a performance.
Day 2 · Moscow City and the river
Pick the high-rise museum or one viewing deck. After lunch, see the towers from the embankment. If there is a suitable departure, finish near Kievsky Station after a ride on the public electric boat.
Stay in town for the Pushkin Museum and GES-2, a bridge walk apart. For a change of pace, take a morning suburban train to Kolomna or Zvenigorod. Give the trip out of town a full day.
