The story of this place

Kuskovo took shape in the 18th century as the Sheremetev family's ceremonial country estate. Its palace and formal park hosted receptions and walks; straight avenues connect the main house, pavilions and reflective pond.

The ensemble brings together European architectural references in its Italian and Dutch houses, Grotto and Hermitage. The museum preserves estate collections and ceramics, offering a closer view of the period's decorative arts alongside its architecture.
