Victory Park stands on a historic Moscow hill. Its fountain-lined avenue leads to the Victory Monument and the curved façade of the Victory Museum.

The story of this place

A foundation stone for the future monument was placed on Poklonnaya Hill in 1958. Victory Park was laid out here in 1961.

The Victory Museum and Victory Monument opened on 9 May 1995, the 50th anniversary of the end of the Great Patriotic War. From the main avenue, the obelisk and the museum’s curved façade form a single composition.
