Tchaikovsky’s final home, preserving his furnishings, library and personal possessions.
The story of this place
Pyotr Tchaikovsky spent his final years in this house, moving here in 1892. The setting retains the scale of a private home, with work and living rooms surrounded by a small park.
The memorial museum was established in 1894. Preserving the furnishings, library and archive became central to its work. Everyday objects used by the composer are therefore as significant here as the story of his music.
