The story of this place

The museum grew from a collection by artist and researcher Nikolai Bartram. It gained museum status in Moscow in 1918 and later moved to Sergiev Posad.

The collection now occupies a former school. Compare folk crafts, toys from other countries and objects that different generations grew up with.
