Konstantin Melnikov’s club, with three projecting auditorium volumes visible from the street.

The story of this place

Konstantin Melnikov designed the club for workers in the Sokolniki district in the late 1920s. It was intended for meetings, performances and club activities.

The three projections reflect the auditorium layout. The shape of the façade gives a clue to how the interior was organised.
