The story of this place

Count Mikhail Olsufyev’s timber house was built in the late 19th century. Carved wooden details distinguish its façade.

The geographer and thinker Peter Kropotkin lived here from 1918 to 1921. The museum, part of Dmitrov Kremlin, introduces the house and its residents.
