A former city power station turned into a cultural venue with exhibitions and public spaces.

The story of this place

The power station on Bolotnaya Embankment dates to the early 20th century. The scale and tall windows still recall its industrial purpose.

After a conversion by Renzo Piano’s practice, the building reopened in 2021 as a house of culture. The former turbine hall now hosts exhibitions and gatherings.
