An expansive exhibition park whose pavilions, fountains and avenues explore 20th-century architecture.
The story of this place
The site opened on 1 August 1939 as the All-Union Agricultural Exhibition. Its pavilions, gardens and principal avenue formed a purpose-built exhibition town.
Major reconstruction culminated in reopening in 1954, when the Friendship of Peoples, Stone Flower and Golden Ear fountains appeared. Today the architectural ensemble shares its extensive parkland with museums and educational venues.
