Start with Constructivism

At Narkomfin look for strip windows and the supports beneath the block. At the Rusakov Club, notice how the three projections contain parts of the auditorium. Narkomfin remains residential; book a tour for interior access.

Three metro stations in one trip

Start at Mayakovskaya, with its mosaics tucked into the domes. Change to the Circle line at Belorusskaya, then visit Novoslobodskaya for the stained glass and Komsomolskaya on the Circle line for its spacious hall. Go off-peak and stay inside the fare gates between stops.

Grand exhibition architecture at VDNKh

Finish with a walk from VDNKh’s main entrance along the central avenue. Check any pavilion separately: the grounds and museums keep different hours.
